(04 Nov 04) The 100,000-mile car has now had its brakes freshened up, been given new tyres - and a good clean-up - and is joining the Honda press car fleet, so that it can demonstrate the durability of the Integrated Motor Assist system. Of course, the more recent Civic IMA hybrids are much more practical than the Insight coupé, whose luggage arrangements are - to put it very, very mildly - inadequate. Honda is the only mainstream manufacturer to have produced two different petrol/electric vehicles, and it keeps saying that another IMA model, styled for the European market, "will emerge in the future". No further details yet. |
