(Tue 08 Jun 10) Since its launch in early 2009, the Vauxhall Insignia has been available either with a diesel engine or with four-wheel drive, but never with both. But that's about to change, with the introduction of the 2.0 CDTi 4x4.
Available only in Sports Tourer estate form, and with a power output of 158bhp, the new model is due to appear in UK showrooms in September. Pricing has not yet been confirmed but is expected to be around £1750 higher than that of the front-wheel drive diesel, which suggests a starting price in the region of £21,700. Trivia fans might like to note that this is Vauxhall's first diesel 4x4 passenger car, not including SUVs. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
