(Mon 29 Mar 10) No doubt keen to improve its reputation after the recent unpleasantness about reliability and quality issues, Toyota has introduced a new offer to its customers under the title "Your choice, our promise".
Anyone who buys a new Toyota now has a choice of deals. One is a five-year warranty, an extension of the three-year/60,000-mile one already in place. The extra two years are covered by Toyota GB, and they apply only if the car is serviced at an official Toyota dealership. Alternatively, customers can go for three years' free servicing instead. "Free" means that routine costs are covered, and there will be services at 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 miles if those figures are reached before each year is up.
