(Tue 04 May 10) The Volkswagen Tiguan SE is no more, and has been replaced by the Match (a name used in other VW ranges but not, until now, for the Tiguan compact SUV).
The Match costs £250 more than the SE did, and for that you get climate control air-conditioning, Park Assist, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, a DAB digital radio with touchscreen control and a leather multifunction steering wheel. Most versions have four-wheel drive and come with a choice of 148bhp 1.4 TSI and 168bhp 2.0 TSI petrol engines and 138bhp and 168bhp versions of the 2.0 TDI turbo diesel. A six-speed gearbox is standard, though seven-speed DSG transmission is available with the more powerful petrol and less powerful diesel engines. There are also two BlueMotion Technology versions (one petrol, one diesel) which have front-wheel drive only. Prices range from £22,110 for the 1.4 TSI BlueMotion Technology to £24,810 for the 2.0 TSI DSG. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
